AstroIndexer is a desktop application. The companion app is a window onto the same indexed data — it does not re-analyse anything, it shows you what your desktop already worked out.
Scanning, plate solving, quality analysis, stacking and the machine-learning modules all run locally on your computer, against your FITS and XISF files.
Browse the catalogue, pull up any object, and read its capture summary and pipeline state — while you are setting up under the sky, or nowhere near your desk.
Search by object or catalogue, filter the list, and see the totals for everything you have indexed — objects, accumulated exposure, and how much has been through quality analysis.
Open any target and see what you have actually accumulated on it — not a folder listing, but the totals your desktop computed. Scan, Rig, QA, ML and Image each carry their own state, so one look tells you whether an object is finished or still waiting.
